Travel And Experiences

I thought I’d kick off my travel blog with my hometown: Cambridge. Partly because it’s logical… and partly because after living here for over four decades, I feel qualified to talk about it without being escorted out by the locals.

I’m genuinely never bored of this city. Where else can you watch people punting like Olympians one minute and crashing into bridges the next? It regularly lands itself in the top five must-visit cities for discerning tourists, and it’s also one of those rare places that’s safe, beautiful, and civilised enough to raise children—should you be at that stage of life (or considering it between coffee stops and newly opened Korean restaurants ).

After more than forty years here, I’ve seen Cambridge in all its moods: sun-soaked, rain-soaked, tourist-packed, and blissfully quiet. And trust me—this city still has plenty of stories to tell.
